CD Artwork

A follow up from Bollops's CD artwork post. Some of my artwork - mostly collaged from old mags and comics etc. Eclectic collections of tracks mostly trawled from crackly vinyl and YouTube etc.

  1. Love it. I think 'Numerology' is my fave.

  2. splendid

i must have some examples of this kind of thing that friends sent me back in the early 2000s but i can't face the idea of digging into boxes crammed tight with this stuff.

cassettes though might actually be more readily to hand. people did some wicked ones back in the day - actually makes me retroactively ashamed i didn't reciprocate in kind, especially as while not having a design head, i do enjoy making collages. it's just an idea that never exhausts itself - cutting a head out of a magazine and sticking in on an inappropriate body - or an animal or bird.

in some ways i've never got past the shock-thrill of encountering surrealism at the age of 14 or whenever it was.

also the delirious excitement of seeing Terry Gilliam's animated bits of Monty Python when those were shown as repeats in the mid-70s.

  3. Cheers guys - yep, never get tired of that old collage cliche - sticking a different head on someone else's body! Makes me chortle every time!
