1969 - I remember some of it. I was at manchester art skool at the time - couldn't wait to leave actually - they didn't understand my paintings - thought I should grow up. I was actually told that by a tutor who was disgusted with my painting of a pixie under a mushroom. "Why don't you grow up!" I was determined never to do that very thing even more so. Started making kites and painting on them which infuriated them even more! ha ha!
Annoyingly, I don't have the actual cover, but those red Caxtons look familiar. I would say go for it, if it's under a tenner. I've posted the juiciest pics; there's lots more from the current affairs side. A piece on race, ooh and a bit on yoof rebellion / hippoes etc. The year of publication is 1970.
That Alwin Nikolais not only did amazing stylized and costumed avant-ballets, he made his own electronic music to go with them - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfxsFTDWWnw

ReplyDeleteWow, that's brilliant!
DeleteNot heard of Theorem before - Pasolini. Sounds like a right period piece. That one image sells me on getting it out of the local videotheque.
