This Wheat
"That Agrifax copter sure caught me a cropper"
I know the above is for the harvest period, but it - and the following - all fit the present times (in *my* brane anyway). The unrelenting heat, the green turned yellow and brown etc etc. Grass verges in my suburban locale now look like miniature fields of golden crops.

I love the story that This Heat tried to record the sound of a baking pavement (during the drought of '76, iirc). The start of Horizontal Hold could be that recording.
